Betty, unfortunatly I'm not sick again, I am STILL sick. I was feeling better but never 100%. Seems to be coming back with a vengence. ~Mandy

Sorry you're still not feeling well Mandy. I hope you get to your docs soon.

I can't get to my docs for this acid thing until 2/28! The nutrionist wants me to track my food intake and to play around with it. Such as nothing in solid form after 5pm, liquids for dinner, eating late at night, taking Pepcid. She wants me to change it up and track it to see what works for me. If I get it again and its really bad they'll squeeze me in. She said it's not an emergency but, should I feel the need they'll get me in. UGH. So I guess fitday and I have to become friends again.

Anyone here use fitday? I find it a pain in the neck when the food I eat isn't on their list! Adding each ingredient trying to figure out the calories, fat etc is a pain in the ars and takes forever! Try tracking a Med decaf ice coffee with cream and equal. Takes me 10 min just to input that lol.

Morning All---

Beannie--have a safe and fun trip--as much as it pains me, I do love hearing your food porn...even my tummy lives vicariously these days!!!

Mandy--sounds like you never got your sinus infection completely cleared, and now have a secondary infection. I say that like I know--was DH's experiences too--and that is what the Dr. told him. He did another round of antibiotics, and finally kicked it. There is mono going around here---yuck!

Darcy--how long til the parts for the treadmill come in? I need to update my ticker, I have yet to miss a night of walking. And although I don't count it, I have walked to the store twice--the girlie loves to be outside, and it is so muddy, I strap her into the stroller and we walked down and picked up tortillas one day, and a loaf of bread another day. DH and I are still lifting weights (very light) every other night. But still my scale sits, and slowl inches down, then jumps up 2 pounds, then slowly inches down, then jumps---aggravating as hell!!

Betty--sounds like our weather is being similar. It hasn't even got down to freezing the last 2 nights, it has rained pretty steady...which finally melted off all the snow, now there is MUD everywhere!!! The oilfield trucks come back into town and leave mud everywhere. Rick hates that, because then even if he gets a nice day, there is so much dirt and sand on the road, he won't take the bike out. And it is supposed to stay this way until tomorrow, and then the temp is supposed to drop and it should turn to snow. Happy Valentines Day---yeah!

Mary--I see you here at the same time I am, so I will likely miss your post----hope the little guy is ready to go back to school, and feeling good again! Car hanging in there? Did you ever let anyone know what kind of jeans you are interested in?

Chris--as everyone has said---your pics look great---keep up the good work. Hope you feel better soon, and that your date is as good as he sounds!

Anne--how's the job going? Did you survive the orientation?

Cassie--we need a wedding fix--tell us whats going on!

Dianne--how's MIL? I thought about you at Curves yesterday...a woman there had become the first here to lose 5 feet. One of our instructors/workers, fell coming in the other morning on some ice, and broke her leg. She was supposed to be leaving the 16th to go on a cruise. The cruise director managed to get her rescheduled, even though it is supposed to be nonrefundable.

Eileenie--I totally dislike how boss-man has made you unable to chat withus---it sucks!

Cindy--Sugar Free Mini Brownies??? I didn't know!!! I bought a box--have decided to make them my evening treat, when I want something sweet so badly!

Patty--come tell us what's going on---we will do our best to help and support. The boys ok????

I know I am missing some....I can't scroll back any further to see what's happening. I read it, then poof I forget, until I read an update---my poor mind is shot!!

Hope everyone is off to a good week!

My former SIL has the little one today, so I am going to call a friend and see if she wants to do lunch, since I have no kiddo!!

Hey All

It's a slow work day so I thought I would stop in and see how it's going with y'all.

Mandy - Hugs! I am sorry you are feeling so crappy. It's bitter cold here - when the wind blows it'll steal the warmth from your soul... I am ready to see a little Spring, too.

Betty - I totally thing housework counts. **shudder** I avoid that stuff even more than I avoid the gym! You had better get that cold weather all chased out of town before I get back!.

Sherry - Ick. Acid Reflux. It sounds nasty enough. I hope you figure a way to avoid it. Sheesh! What if you were coughing up a lung or something? Your doc can't see you til the 28th? That seems wrong to me. Hugs!

Kat - I'll have to come up with some extra special food porn just for you. Of course, one of my persnickety co-workers doesn't like Chain restaurants - he only wants to go to unique local places - so I guess the Cheesecake Factory is out for this trip. :]

Well - Not much has gone on between last night and today. I don't know if we are doing anything exotic tonight. I am so tired I might just hit the gym and crash.

Love you guys!

Hey guys... guess what... I got contact lenses today!!!! I am a total goober when trying to put them in and was not much more adept at taking them out... but still... I am so excited that I won't always have a pair of glasses on my face! I wish I could wear them tonight when we go to the YMCA but my eyes are pretty irritated from having them in for 4 hours. He had a devil of a time fitting the right ones for my apparently extremely curved corneas but the 3rd try was a charm.

Back to do personals later... (((hugs)))

Congrats on the contacts Darcy. I have them but don't wear them often. They dry out too much at work and I really only need glasses for distance (driving) so I don't bother. It's nice when you get all dolled up to go out though

Hey Beanie I LOVE Carmines! The food was great, and I loved the frozen Cosmos there! I haven't been to NYC in a long time, but I love it.

Congrats on your contacts Darcy!

Oooo. Gold stars for me. I did 20 minutes on the bike downstairs tonight. It wasn't the most fabulous workout - but it was one.

We all decided to stay in tonight. It was just that much too much for us to go out. I had some potstickers and grilled veggies in my room. Of course, I ruined that with Cheesecake - but I am weak.

Darcy - congrats on your contacts, ya goober. :]

Sherry - Hi! Hugs!

Chrispy - yep, Carmine's is a winner. Not exactly band friendly with those HUGE family sized portions - but DANG the food is good. :]

Well - It's off to bed now, for me. Tomorrow is another exotic and exciting day.

Good Morning Y'all!

Running a little late this morning, I slept crooked or something and got up with a hurting neck. I sat for a while with a heating pad so now I am running behind schedule.

Beanie - Yeah for you! You are really getting into this exercise thang! Last night I didn't want to do any, I was dead tired but told myself I would just do a few and then I could quit. Well, I did all mine plus 20 more! I guess once you get going it makes it all better!:girl_hug: :):D

Darcy - Congrats on the contacts! You'll become a pro at putting them in and taking them out pretty quick!

Sherry - So how did you do last night? I can't believe they didn't have you come in and take a small amount out of your band! Be careful!

Mandy - Awwww, feel better soon! I would bring you some chicken soup if you were closer!:D:)

Kat - We have lots of sand on the bridges here, and when we go riding for the first time it is scary. It doesn't bother DH much, but it does me!

I'm sorry gals, I don't have any more time, so I'll catch the rest of you tomorrow. It's not that I'm not thinking about you, it's that darn clock telling me to run not walk to the bedroom and get dressed!

Well it's my bandiversary today and my scale needed a swift kick but, I behaved. I've fixed my ticker....I'm up 5 pounds since the 5th. Lovely...just lovely! I'm beside myself. I know I've done well but, where the heck did this 5 freaking pounds come from. I know TOM is around the corner but 5 POUNDS? UGH. Ya think this would make me move my ars?

No acid last night...I took Pepcid before bed. We'll see if that works.

Man......5 pounds? grrrrrrrrrrrrr self sabotaging myself? Geesh if I were doing that I should be doing it on chocolate, ice cream and chips but, I haven't had ice cream or chips over the past two weeks. Yesterday I did have about 20 peanut M&Ms and ended up having my chest bubblin all afternoon so that wasn't worth it.

Sorry folks but, I can't hide the dissappointment in myself today. I guess it's because it is my bandiversary and I was really hoping I was going to be below 200. The scale let me see 200 on 2/5 so I really thought I'd do it. Apparently it's not the case. I'm doing ok...just a little down about it....I'll get over it and be back to myself tomorrow I'm sure.

Sorry the downer so early.....thank you for listening though...I really do appreciate it.

Hi Ladies,

I might be able to chat with you tomorrow and catch up... we are expecting a snow storm tonight in Joisey :) :girl_hug: :) sooooooooo *evil grin*

TTYL

We have no school today, 40 mph winds, and snow drifts. I let my doggies out this morning and they disappeared, they were over their heads in snow. It has drifted over 4 feet deep on one side of my yard. I have a privacy fence, and it has nowhere to go, so it's all piled up. I am going to the urgent care today. I didn't get to the doctor yesterday, they were booked solid. Today the it's moved into my lungs. So to recap, it's my sinuses, head, throat and now my lungs. I have a fever, and a horrible headache. Even loritab didn't help my head. I am going to the urgent care so they can give me an IV, with antibiotics and something for the headache. I haven't been this sick in a very long time. I will check in later. ~Mandy

Anyone wanna come and shovel snow with me?

The block that you see in the last photo is where I have shoveled some of the snow away. We have drifts of 4-6 feet, and wind at up to 40mph. But on the bright side it's in the 20's today. And yes my neighbor still has her manger scene up and she lights it up everynight. ~Mandy

Brrrrr. DANG it's cold!

Eileenie and I are both hoping for the storm of the century up here is Joisey. We have been e-mailing, since her boss is less likely to notice or care about that. I want the storm so I can have a day off to go play downtown. She wants to be able to have a day off to come play on LBT.

Of course - if it is REALLY the storm of the century, I will probably stay in and watch HBO all day - but hey, at least I won't have to be here. See what a bad attitude I have? Geez. I need to get my head around the whole Work concept.

Betty - I HAVE to exercise while I am here. I am eating EVERYTHING. And dessert with every stinking meal. What is THAT all about? I have to admit that I am enjoying it immensly - but unfortunately my scale might have the last laugh.

Sherry - What can I say? Shit happens. You will get past it and break that 200 barrier, yet. Hugs! I hope you aren't TOO down. Sorry your bandiversary is such a bummer.

Mandy - so is that much snow normal? Or is the whole city shut down? Or something in between? I would help you shovel, if I were closer to you.

Well, I am going back out into the general LBT population. Still slow here, although we have had a little more to do today. We expect by tomorrow we will start to get slammed... if we are even here.

TTL!

The whole city isn't shut down, this is semi-normal. Usually in Dec and Jan. It's usually ice in feb, not all the %&^* snow. I like the fact that it's not sub zero anymore, but I could live without the snow. I took the pictures so that those of you in warmer climates could see it. I also sent them to my sister, she's in west virgina, and was complaining about a little snow and some cold temps, it's in the 40's there (ha, we swim when it hits 40) ~Mandy
