I was wondering about iron. That is not one of the meds required or even suggested by my doctor. I bought some but have not yet taken it. Honestly with the constipation I already deal with I was afraid to start taking iron. I have added two vitamins (magnesium and hair, skin and nails) not on the doctor's list already, but what do you do about the severe constipation that iron will cause on top of the high protein diet we are on?

It was on my list and yes that was one of the reasons I didn't take it I just felt so bloated and horrible! I am taking a liquid iron water supplement right now I put in OJ called Iron Absorb and I just ordered an iron plus C chewable from Bariatric Advantage but the infusion is imminent...just make sure they check your iron in your blood work as we don't absorb iron after surgery :)

I have that bariatric advantage chewable one already. I just am fearful of taking it... I am a wimp I guess.

how bad is the infusion process? I am sorry you have to go through that. I am sure it is frustrating and even scary. Once the infusion is done will you be able to keep up with your iron levels by taking the vitamins now?

Oh I ordered those multi's from them as well! And their calcium w/D....I'm told the infusion should only be every 6 mo. To a year so I'm hoping it will work!!!! :) :) :)

Best of luck! Keep us posted on how you are doing.
