Losing hope

I hit my year mark for my band on Halloween 2006. I lost 30 lbs. pretty quickly, but I am only down maybe 40 lbs. in all. I am totally discouraged. Everyone tells me, eat this, eat that, do this, do that. I then feel like, well why did I get the band for if I need to do all the same I tried to do before. I have one more small fill to go, but am sooo embarrassed to go have it done and get weighed. I sometimes feel maybe I did the wrong surgery. My nephew had the bypass one wekk before me and is more than half of his former self! Please anyone else having this problem!

How many fills have you had? Do you feel restricted when you eat? It's possible that you just haven't hit that "sweet spot" yet with your fills. If you feel like you're just relying totally on willpower, then something is definitely wrong.

Hope things get easier for you soon.

I have had 3 fills so far, but I did make an appointment for a few weeks. It's strange, sometimes I feel as if I can eat lots of one thing, yet get full easily from another, if that makes any sense. I actually havent eaten too much at all today, but am just starting to feel full. Everyone keeps telling me I need to eat more, not less!
