Does anyone know of any doctors in the Portland Oregon area that will do aftercare if you'd had surgery in Mexico? I'm going next month to Mexico and would like to get it set up ahead of time in case something happens, like some of the posts I've been reading. It seems some people have problems with the ports once in a while. I'd like to talk to a doctor before so they will be there if I need them. Also for fills. Thanks for your help!!

Arranging for fills is a priority...make sure you have someone lined up and understand their requirements before you ever have the surgery. I've read too many posts from people in a crisis situation because they didn't do that. And a band without a fill is like having no band at all!

I have not had surgery yet, but I have been researching aftercare options, and I think the Dr you are talking about is Dr Kelly Fitzpatrick, she works out of Portland and Eugene.

Hi I am a oldie that as came back to chat. Yes it is Dr. Kelly Fitzpatrick. She is awesome. She wasn't using flor scope when I went but I think she may be able to arrange it.

I highly sugest you get someone before you go. I would still be going to her but I had some problems a year ago and was to tight and had to have some removed. Long story ended up very ill.

I now go to Dr. Neal in Olympia, WA he uses flori scope and right now that is very important for me and he is closer. I am in Castle Rock. She is now in Eugene. But she does come to Portland for some patients.

Dr Neal is great and his office staff is wonderful too. I know from experience it has been very hard to find Dr.'s here that will care for Mexico patients. Dr Neal charges 375.00 for a fill with flori and she was around 150.00 the last time I saw her.

I just spoke to her about a month ago so and I have her number if you would like just let me know. I also have number for Dr. Neal.

I would like to have the the fluoro done just to be on the safe side. I've heard great things about Dr. Fitzpatrick too but I heard she has cancer, is she still practicing?

Hi Ted, I'm going to Dr. Rumbaut in Monterrey Mexico, I had a friend at work that went to him and was really happy with him. I also talked with him on the phone, Mexico doctors seem so much more available to their patients than US doctors! Are you having to do a liquid diet before surgery? I have to do it for 7 days, that is going to be really hard!! Good luck with yours!! Let me know how it goes. :confused:
