fatty liver/lymphoma

I am interested in lap-banding but would like to know if anyone knows if a diffuse fatty liver or lymphoma in remission ( cancer free x 1 year) would stop me from getting this procedure done. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Well the entire purpose of the pre op diet is to shrink the liver. Its very difficult to do the procedure laparascopically if the liver is enlarged. They may be able to do it by open surgery - but even then I've heard of cases where they were simply unable to get to the stomach safely around the liver. The only way to know is to see the surgeon.
