Well, NC long time, no response. I have not been banded. Still researching and looking around at options. Did you use the Duke group? I've researched the crowd out of Dalton, Ga. They seem most experienced. But right now, I'm trying to find out if my secondary will cover it? Did you have insurance coverage? The doctors in NC don't seem to be doing many bands.

Hi tarheeltalk,

It took me a while to post here but I am also from NC. I live in the Greensboro area and yes I had lap-band WLS at Duke. But there are many others in NC doing the procedure. Hope others will join us here.

Always, Judy

Welcome Longhorn! Glad to have you...have fun reading and searching. Judy posted something about a bandster get-together in Durham. You might be interested in attending, I'm sure she could help you out (judybellyband, listed above).

Also, if you haven't yet, post an introduction in the introduction forum so we can all say hi to you...more folks will read it there, and give all the scoop...wer'e a nosey bunch! Glad you are here!!!
