No Protein Intake

Today marks my two week post op and I have not been able to drink my protein shakes or my broth. They both cause me nausea. So, since the day of my op, I've only been able to have water, Chrystal Light and SF Popsicles. Is this normal?

Yes I had the exact same problem. My Dr told me to try to get the protein but that the MOST important thing was actually water for the first couple weeks.

I agree with Brookie, but have one suggestion. Can you tolerate jello? If so, try mixing in some fruit flavored protein powder when you make the jello. It tastes good and will provide at least some protein.

Do you like coffee ???if so try decaf ice coffee and add some unflavored protein in it ... GNC has whey 25g per scoop. Good luck hope it gets better .. :D
