At 2 weeks post op, I didn't even look at a scale yet! You are swollen still from surgery and also the the trip to the ER pumped you full of even more liquids. Take some deep cleansing breaths, give

I don't have any amazing words of wisdom but I will say this: I doubt the weight you're gaining is fat. It's probably you retaining water since you got pumped full of fluids at the hospital and are st

I would eliminate the broths for a day and see if that helps...they are loaded with sodium and make you retain water.

1wk post op, I landed my hiney in the ER due to dehydration. I gained 6 lbs back. ok, no biggie. Now I am getting better and closer to meeting the 64oz goal each day. However, my weight has stayed at 199. I have started adding in full liquids ... mostly just Protein shakes. The shakes make me feel so stuffed, and it takes me a loooooooong time to get 11 oz down. Well, I weighed this morning and I have gained a pound. BOO
I have e-mailed my NUT to see what she recommends. I am struggling and frustraited to get it all in. I feel like, when I was fat I have NEVER stuffed myself this much!! I am adding to protein to the Water, doing Protein Shakes, and sipping on broths and miled down cream Soups. I don't know if the body is adjusting. I didn't get my pre-op measurements from the doc's office that day. So I have nothing to compaire them to. Going to take my own tonight to start comparing.
Any words of wisdom from the veterans out there?
