Hi all

How long have your surgeons indications been for beginning semi contact sports again after surgery?

I love playing basketball and don't want to let my team down being out for 8-10 weeks. It may be easier to schedule surgery for the Christmas off season.

I also play indoor cricket (for those in the US, imagine having to pitch a baseball and bat repeatedly for 9 innings inside an hour), and wouldn't like to do any damage from that?

Any insights?

I was told 6 weeks before going back to mma, riding my motorcycle, and lifting weights. So I would guess that would be about the same for basketball and cricket.
