See that's what confuses me. I was denied by Aetna TWICE for a BMI of 39+ and sleep apnea. Just doesn't seem right.

I had sleep apnea, High blood pressure, completed all requiements, a1c was 7.3 borderline and BMI 48..... Aetna still found a reason to denied me the first time. Thank God That battle is over

Congratulations! I got approved by Aetna this week after 3 months of sweating through the pre-certification process! I am a 41 BMI now but yo-yo'ed between 38-39 the last few years. I have sleep apnea and slightly high blood pressure (the latter they don't consider). Looks like I'll be sleeved in June :D

Congrats !!!!!! keep me posted.

I have just been submitted for approval to Aetna & I'm sweating out the wait time. My BMI is over 50, and I have bad mobility issues. I have my mind set on a June date, but all of a sudden I'm panicking that they won't approve me. Arrrggghhh...the waiting is so stressful!

Hang in there and good luck! I feel your pain - I was submitted Friday and the waiting is driving me insane! Hoping you hear good news soon :)
