Will they operate

Hey all I have a question, I have been on a supervised diet since may and lost about 20 lbs or so. my insurance company approved me as most of you know and my surgery date is Dec. the 18th. when I went for my pre-op diet about 2 wks ago she said we need you to follow this diet provided well I have been but I have only lost about 3 lbs when I emailed her to let her know she says the doc usually wants to see a 10-15 lb weight loss before surgery sometimes more. the prob is I have already lost the 5 % required by the insurance company and I have only cheated once on my pre-op diet and not lost more than 3 lbs do you guys think they will still operate I am mad because I am not sure what to do HELP!!!!!!!!

anyone else had this happen did they still operate does anyone else think it is weird they won't me to lose 10-15 lbs when most banded people don't lose that in two wks thanks in advance for the advice and help  :)

Was it the liver shrinking diet? If it is then I can tell you I gained weight the first week of it and then in 2 days dropped almost 10lbs, it took my body a while to click in on the protein only thing. I'd say though, the best bet is to call your Dr. and tell her you are sticking to it but have only lost 3 lbs and make sure the surgery is still a "go".
