I posted this in the complications forum, but more people come here. So here goes.

This morning I have developed a rash on my torso. They look like mosquito bites or acne, they don't itch, hurt or bother me. I just need to know it isn't band related.

Phoned my surgeon's office and secretary hasn't heard anything similar, so I am hoping it is my hot tub, or clothes or the weather or something I ate.

Please tell me if you have heard of anything similar.

When were you banded? It could be a reaction to any meds that you are on.

I was banded this past July. I am not on any meds and haven't since before I was banded. I took a dose of Nyquil last night?

I won't panic. My doc is out until Jan, so I might go to the walk in clinic.

Thanks for your response....

No new food, no new detergent, no new clothes, no new products...I am at a loss here.

Tell me not to panic. And I don't know if it is my imagination or what, but it IS itchy....

My doc is on holidays, so I might go to the walk in....

BTW Ariel!

I see you aren't banded yet. Other than this rash, I feel so awesome. The band has given me hope in the weight loss battle. I feel so much more energy, I feel lighter on my feet, I sleep better, I just LOVE my band.

Good luck with your journey, I will be watching out for you.

hugs

I got a rash after a fill. I think I was allergic to the bandaid they put on me. I had the rash for several days, but it was definitely the result of the bandaid.

I also get sensitive on my torso. Hard to explain, but like when someone tickles you. However, it is just there. No rash, but feels funny for a few days. It comes and goes, but defintely only since surgery.

my sugery was march 26th 2008. I have broken out with rashes and hives and facial swelling. I have stopped all medicine, and taking bendryl every 4 hours. What do you think could be causing this?

don't panic. I suffer from very sensitive skin and develop hive type rashes from all sorts of things. Especially if it doesn't itch don't worry.

Our skin is a complex organism and can react to all different things. I've developed reactions from things i use all the time just out of the blue. food, lotions, cosmetics, soaps, detergents - combinations of the above.

You can always pick up a hydrocortison cream at the drugstore, but that's more of an itch relief. Most often doctors aren't able to determine what causes rashes

I doubt it's band related.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
