I can sit and drink a whole plastic cup of water and ice in less than 30 min.. My pouch loves loves water .. I'm two weeks post op and my stomach still hates to eat "/ weeks 3 & 4 I'm allowed to do eggs, cream of wheat, mashed potatoes etc but I just can't -.- I'm nervous I'm not getting my protein in, but hey at least I'm not dehydrated right ?

hey Layla,

I'm 2 months post-op, and still struggling to get off liquid-only or get any protein in... my Surgeon and NUT agree that as I'm getting my vits in without any problems and I'm generally healthy, I'm covered from a nutrition perspective and until I can do it, I shouldn't stress about not getting food intake or protein in. It will come in it's own sweet time and when it does I can concentrate on protein volume, etc. The important thing is getting liquids in and preventing dehydration.

Their exact words were: 'you're doing well, don't be so hard on yourself'!

good luck!
