Texas Based Claims company

You know I just wanted to post this little tidbit of info for everyone.

I was told at the facility where I have my band placed that there is this Texas based Claims company that will file the necessary paperwork if you were self pay to see if your insurance will cover the banding.

I am in the process of this right now. My insurance co did NOT deny the claim they are requesting my medical records and hopefully will have an answer one way or the other soon.

I self-paid for my surgery because I did not want to wait for the process of insurance acceptance / denial. I know some people can't do that but for those of us that can afford to just pay for the surgery and then try to get reimbursed this company is awesome.

I will proved the contact person I am working with and the phone number. They can get you started on the process.

Renny Griffin and her number is 713-937-1875 ext 12

Good Luck.

This sounds like a good tip, but please bear in mind that there is no need to engage a third party to submit paperwork. I assume there is some sort of fee or commission for this service--otherwise why would they do it?--but submitting claims is something everyone can do for themselves.

Good luck with it, Penni. I hope they net you some bucks back!! :)
