Caring for a young child after surgery...

I am scheduled for surgery on 3/25, I have a one year old son who weighs 23lbs and is highly active. How much help should I line up? Will I be able to lift him from the ground, from the crib, etc? How soon will I have enough energy to care for him alone, with no help?

Thank you for your help, in advance.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I don't have the help I was hoping I would. I'll make it work, though.

I had my surgery March 6. My family kept my 4 year old for a couple of days and then he came home. It was a bit hectic a first but I'm managing . You have a one year old so my prayers are with you because he/ she going to want mommy time. Best of luck and utilize friends an family until you feel better
