Tolerable probably, recommended ? If you are like most of us rice is very hard at 7 weeks. For me rice felt like swallowing thumbtacks untill about 4 months or so. I am almost 14 months out and still cannot eat a whole roll ( smallish) .

I love sushi and can not wait to eat it again:)

Last night I made a California roll - just seaweed, imitation crab, avocado and cucumber. Rolled it up and dipped in low sodium soy sauce. Didn't even miss the rice.

The DR office told me it is ok to eat it but whats concerning to them is possibility of infection if you eat it too soon after the surgery. You are eating raw and your stomach is still recovering. Well i took that chance and was one of the best meals post op

I agree! Especially with sashimi! We go to a trusted and yummy place for sashimi.

I love the fresh salmon. Smoked is ok but fresh is the best and the true test of a good sushi place :)
