trouble Drinking water

I am almost 6 weeks out. I am still haveing a hard time swalling water. I love water.... but get a lump in my throat and it feels like I swallowed a rock. How long will this last? This makes it hard for me to get in the required amount of water. I sip water all day long. It is uncomfortable even though I sip.

For me, drinking Water has never been the same. I used to drink 100 oz a day, no problem. Post-op, it never has been the same. Now, Gatorade and the like, I have no problem with. Don't know why that is, but it is.

Perhaps give something like that a try and see how it goes down.

I have not tried Gatoraid but I have trouble with protien shakes and most other liquids. I do swallow warm tea and coffee better. Hot broth go's down easy. I was wondering if I may have a stricture. Or will this problem pass with time.
