Newbee with a question about insurance

I have been looking into surgery for about 12 years. I have been to probably 6 informational meetings and I have completed one entire program and was to be cleared for surgery in 09 when my husband was laid off and of course then we had no insurance for about 2 years. I am now back in the program...just for some background info. :)

I never thought of any surgery except the bypass but I never pushed forward because there were things that I was uncomfortable with. Then I found out that all the things I didnt like would be resolved if I picked the VSG surgery instead. I checked with my insurance and they announce that they will do banding and bypass but they dont say they exclude the sleeve.

I was wondering if anyone here has Fallon Community Select insurance and has successfully been approved and had surgery. I am just a little worried about putting all my "eggs in one basket" so to speak and then find out that it wont work. The bypass just scares the heck out of me, and with all the meds I take to function...Im not sure its a good fit.

Thanks for any advice you can give. I appreciate all the help I can get. :)
