post opt food choices

Ok so I'm having my surgery on the 2/6 and I wanted to know what items I should buy to eat/drink besides protein shakes for post-opt, 3rd week and 4th week post opt... Does that make sense?? I'm going shopping tomorrow. :). Thanks

I'm 5 weeks out and have been drinking Crystal Light lemonade the whole time. By the 2nd week I was able to eat cream of mushroom and cream of chicken Soup. From the 3rd week on I was able to eat refried Beans with finely chopped chicken and mild picante sauce. That's about it for me, I am lucky in that I can eat the same thing over and over without getting tired of it.

You might be able to eat sugar free Jell-O or sugar free popsicles as well. I tried them, but my stomach didn't like'em.

I would have sugarfree popsicles, and chicken broth. I could have skim milk and smooth yogurt. Every doctors plans are different so its best to follow their directions.

How about almond milk?

Is there a reason why everybody drinks Crystal Light? How about other brands of sugar free mix-in drink powders?
