Pre Op Exercising

I do not have my surgery scheduled yet but I am expecting it to be in April or May. Anyways I am exercising everyday now to try and tighten up the flabbiness as much as possible before surgery and I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice or success on pre op exercising.

Keep it up! :)

I'm doing the same thing. Just started cardio kickboxing a week ago. I, too, am hoping to build up some muscles in the hopes that I'll be able to tone up my loose skin after surgery. I can't wait to do the workouts after the surgery because I can't do some of the moves and don't have the stamina I'm hoping to have once some of this weight is gone.

I've been doing daily exercise for many years. I absolutely feel that it made my recovery a lot easier than it was for many based on the stories I read on this site. I was back at work in a week without a problem. By 2 weeks out I was doing the same elliptical, weight training and yoga that I did pre-op only it was a lot easier. Even my doctor was impressed and he also agreed that all that pre-op exercise paid off.

That is great! I am gonna keep on working out! I'm down 17 lb and still have 2months of my 6month weight loss required by the insurance. I'd love to lose another 10-15 before surgery just so my goal from surgery is easier to accomplish.
