Medications

I am pre band and have my first surgeons appt. next monday. I have quite a few health issues and take 8 pills a day. I don't see me going off any of them initially and some never. I have heart disease--two stents in my heart I will need my cholesterol and Bp meds and my aspirin for sure--Ive checked the posts and answers are all over the place. Some of these pills are coated and crushing wouldn't be the best idea. Aspirin is an irritant. So if its an empty pouch when I take the pills will they just slide right into the stomach? Another question--on an empty pouch will I be able to drink a glass of water as I do now. thanks peoples!

You really need to go over your medications with your surgeon. I know aspirin is not recommended, at least not on a regular basis. As for the Water, I didn't have any trouble drinking water, and still don't after one fill.

Good luck with your surgery!
