Hello!!! I'm very early in my journey. I'm only on month four of my six month supervised weight loss. It feels like this will never happen for me. How long did everyone have wait? I have Aetna for insurance, and they like you to jump thru hoops.... Getting discouraged. Help!!

I have UHC and I had to do the 6 months as well oh and it flew by.. Now I'm waiting to get cleared by my PCP! I had to do an upper gi, EKG, blood work, stool/urine sample and an ultrasound of my lower abdominal. Everything was good except for my blood work but I was put on antibiotics and now I'm waiting for that, and then everything will be sent to my surgeons office and then I will get my date!!! I started everything in May 2012.

I'm hoping blood results are negative!

I'm sorry to hear that. It definitely sucks to wait when you want something so bad. I have Hmsa and they were pretty straight forward. I wasn't required to lose any weight, but did have to see a psychologist for my binge eating. I went to an orientation seminar in july 2012 and I got approved in December. My date is january 30th. good luck to you and hang in there.

I just re-read my post and it was very self-centered.. I hope you get approved please be patient and don't let them win! Try to go with the flow but also be involved in the process. Make sure you understand what they want. Good Luck!
