Any Lap-Band converts here?

Hi ladies. I'm new to the site and today is my first day posting. I was banded in 2008 and that has not worked out (for me). My surgeon mentioned revision to me today. I was actually glad because it is something that I'd been wanting to do but didn't mention to him since I haven't had any erosion or slips. If you are a convert, will you please share your experiences with me? The only person that knows I have a Lap-Band is my husband. I'm kind of glad, because I failed. I have mentioned the sleeve to a friend and a cousin and didn't get great "approval ratings". I'm ok with that...they're both small... ha! Hubs is fully supportive. He's cool with me as I am now, and is always supportive of whatever weightloss endeavor I enter... I'm in the VERY preliminary stages of this whole process. The dr's office is checking out my benefits. I know it is covered, it is just a matter of what all the insurance company will want and how long and drawn out they will make the process. I'm ready!

That sound like my story. I was banded in 2008. Had a revision in 2010 because of slippage. Around June 2012 I started having bad acid reflux, vomiting in the middle of night. Dr suggested removing all fluid and I was a little better. We both decided to remove and get sleeved. Also my band port was in a bad position. It was hard to get fills. They had to stick me several times even while under xray machine (cant think of proper name). The dr that will be doing my sleeve did not band me. Band was removed sept 10. I will be sleeved on jan 14. My insurance approved me with no problem. Now I getting nervous. But looking foreword to losing the weight again.
