October 25, 200619 yr Hello All, Tony Little (yea, the guy aggravates me too :girl_hug: ) has a new scale that gives the weight, Body Mass AND hydration! I saw it on hsn.com or qvc.com, can't remember which. I think it was around $59.00. Still trying to make the decision, Househuntress
October 25, 200619 yr Hi...I bought one of those scales that does weight, baody fat and hydration and I found the body fat measure grossly inaccuate. I had a body fat analysis done professionally, and while my scale was telling me I was at 43-45% body fat, the one I had done (caliper and Water displacement) had me at 33% body fat. My trainer told me that, if I insisted on using the digital body fat scales, to understand that they are often 8-10 percentage points higher than what you actually are. Just a caveat before anyone decides to buy one.
October 25, 200619 yr My scales that measure body fat do the same thing...BUT they're wildly off first thing in the morning (about 10% high), but if I measure my body fat in the evening it is almost the same as when I did the underwater bodyfat measurement (within 1%) I was told by a trainer that the swings had to do with hydration issues.
