Nsaids?

I am reading posts that people are able to take these months after surgery, then I also read they are forever a no no.

What's everyone's personal experience with them?

I take excederin for headaches, it's the only thing that takes them away. If I can't use them down the road not sure what I will do :(

I decided to have the VSG in part because I can take NSAIDS again.

I believe I have to wait approximately a month, then I'm good to start taking them.

If you have any questions though, you really should contact your surgeons office--although, I don't really see how one place could say never again and another place would say they were okay.

Thanks! I have read on here that people take them, then I found an online guide to pre and post op rules and they said no. So just trying to clarify but I will definitely ask my Dr :)

I started back on Celebrex (Prescription NSAID) one month after my surgery. If you don't have trouble with NSAIDs prior to surgery, I don't think you will have problems afterwards. Being able to take pain medicine was one of the reasons I went with the sleeve.
