I am almost 7 weeks post op...was down with flu since 3days ...and now I have this constant ache in my right flank area... I used a muscle relaxant spray...but no relief... Could the cause be renal? I have NO burning or pain while peeing...my daily water intake is around 80oz...

My doc has asked me to keep on hydrating and see him tmw if the pain persists...has any1 had kidney issues this early post op?

is the pain in back side or front. If it's in the back area, i guess it could be kidneys??? but if it's on the side or front, it could be gas, try gasX strips. Or you said you just got over the flu, if you threw up you could have strained the muscles or something like that. When in doubt go see the doc, for peace of mind if nothing else...Good Luck

Its in the back...i had nausea but dint throw up...im hoping its a muscle thing... Fingers crossed..

This could also be gallstones.... Best to check with your doctor.... I am not a doctor so it's just my opinion.
