Uhc Average Approval Times?

All of my paperwork was sent into UHC on Tuesday last week. I've done all of the requirements. I have a 46 bmi, diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. I figured it would be a quick approval.

Nothing but crickets.

I'm really hoping to have surgery this year, but time is slipping away. Is this common?

I'm calling the case manager Monday to see what's up.

The insurance coordinator at Dr Kim's office told me that the clearance is good for one year. But that's my plan through UHC. My employer (a very large one) has specific rules tied to WLS.

Oh wow

Off topic but lovealways I remember u once talking about getting the Rny what happen w that I believe I seen you on that support group did u change your mind I'm curious cause it getting close to me getting sleeve

Hey :) Yes, I'm still supposed to be getting the RnY next month. I'm submitting to insurance this week but I worry, because I'm not sure I'll be cleared for surgery during pre-surgical testing because of elevated WBC so that's why I asked how long approval lasts in case mine gets pushed back. I use both this forum and RNYTALK. I love the people here and find both forums helpful. I originally was going for the sleeve but insurance will only cover RNY and lapband. When are you getting sleeved?

I see the surgeon on dec 6 to sumit and talk about a few things I was just wonder was it your choice about the Rny I kno you'll do great and yes do please visit I bounced back many of times to educate myself so good luck
