WOW! that is just crazy! I am truly lucky, and thank God every day for my job. I have one of the best medical insurance in the United States. I had the lapband and now the sleeve and paid zero out of pocket.

Funny....I got my statement from the hospital yesterday! Total cost of my surgery, and 6 day hospital stay ? $26,268.07. Total amount owed (by me)? $100! Thank you Harvard Pilgrim ***!!!

It is really incredible to see how much it costs before insurance. Mine was about $36,500 submitted to insurance and they had a negotiated price of about $21,000. My copay was $250. What a difference.
