Medicare

I'm live in the Stockton / Lodi, CA area. I have Medicare and I'm searching for a Dr & Hospital who will accept this. Any ideas?

My Dr has approved the Gastric Bypass but I want a Lap Band. He says he's not familiar with it. So now I have to do reasearch. Figured this forum was the the best place to start.

Thanks, Janice :help:

Medicare will pay, but you have to go to a Center of Excellence and need to have a BMI over 40. Do a search for Centers of Excellence in your area that perform lap-band and you should be able to find one. Good luck!

University of Washington in Seattle is just starting a lap band program and will be taking Medicare patients. Good luck, Joanne in Seattle
