Any Boaters Out There?

My husband and I own a 35 foot cabin cruiser on lake Michigan, and I am first mate. I work the ropes jump in and out when docking etc. i am 7 days post op and was wondering if there are any boaters out there, and when you were able to resume your duties after surgery. The open water is my husbands life and I won't allow him to go out by himself.
