Please help me understand PB's

Hello,

I am getting banded this coming Thursday. Will you please help me understand what the process of PB's are, what happens and how painful they are? Any tips would be helpful - Thanks.

Yes, I think I am familiar with most of the terms. Someone was kind enough to type all of the abbreviations, so it's easy to use that.

Thanks for your advice - you post on the site a lot, and really seem to help a lot of people. Us newbies really appreciate your experience!
