Taking Meds Pre Op

Did your Dr. tell you to stop taking your meds when you start your pre op diet? (since they are pills and not liquid)

No I continued my pills. Its the day off surgery that you don't take them.

Hi mom23.

My surgeon had me discontinue all meds 1 month prior to surgery. But should I get a migraine he is allowing me to treat them up to two weeks before surgery. But nothing after that.

It can be very scary.

Oh wow perhaps it depends on the medicines you are taking then. You may want to call the doctor and find out. Rather be safe than sorry.

That's what I would recommend, I am sure different meds affect different things depending on what is in them.
