Well, all the pre-work is complete, all the fees paid, and am on the two week Protein diet. So far have lost about 30 lbs. Have only two days (Mon-Tue) to get down to 300 which is what I would like then Wed. at 10:00 AM is my date with the sleeve. Really excited and looking forward to it.

Well, we did it, Dr. Seger and I. He'd had a tough time without my help. I went in at 10:00 AM and got to my room around 12:15 PM. I spent two nights in the hospital enjoying the best care a person could possibly get. I started this journey at 335 lbs and today weighted in at 299. I'm in the middle of my clear liquid diet and am doing well. I've had two total knee replacements in pervious years and can already feel the releif the weight loss is bringing to my joints. I am a diabetic and have not needed insulin at all since two days prior to going into the hospital; because of the pre-surgery weight loss diet. If you haven't already figured it out, I am excited about my future weight loss and I am happy to be on this journey with you all. One final note, a thank you to Forensikchic for her conviencing talk at the seminar I attended and her more recent encouragements.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
