Upper Gi?

I had my consultation and meeting with the Nut yesterday. I know that everyone needs to have a scope prior to surgery, but has anyone else needed an upper gi as well? I have had some problems with ulcers in my past, but not had anything for over 5 years. Kinda freakin out. If anyone else has experienced this, please let me know!!!
