Protein - Not Sure How Much I Need

My nutrition materials say to have at least 50 grams of Protein FROM supplements in addition to the food I eat. I've had one Protein Drink today so far. But I've already had 95 grams of protein so I'm wondering if I need that extra Protein shake. I wasn't given a total of protein I should shoot for each day. Just the grams from supplements. Obviously, I need to ask the doctor but it's too late today. I'm just trying to figure out if I should drink that last shake tonight.

What say you?

My NUT advised to have at least 80 grams of protein a day, food and supplements included.

Then I'm doing ok. Thanks for the input!

I'm slightly jealous that you are able to get in 95 grams of protein BEFORE your shakes!! That is awesome! If I was able to get there without the supplements, I wouldn't take them at all! I get in about 75 a day, and that is with a shake. I was never given an exact number either so I just do what I can.

No, I got in 95 with one shake today. I drink the Premier Protein which has 30 grams. I don't usually get this much but I had steak for lunch and catfish for dinner. Tons o'protein with those 2 items alone.
