Is It Normal To Be Depressed Before Surgery?

I don't know why I feel like this ... maybe its me letting go of my old life ? what is it?

I would say yes. You are letting good of the life you knew. Even if we aren't happy with ourselves, there is still that feeling of comfort with something familiar. And if you're anything like me, food was a friend. A comforter. To know that relationship was going to change, it was depressing.

But look at it this way. You will be able to be the person you wanted to be. And deserve. :-)
