Challenge For The "newbie"

Recommended Posts

Hi,

What are you waiting for?angst.gif If you are someone who is sitting on this board and you are reading ALL the postings and not saying anything—this is quite normal. I did that for a few months too. I was trying to figure a few things out about weight loss surgery. Having WLS is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. What I learned once I started asking questions was; there is an enormous amount of helpful people on this board that helped me along the way and answers my hundreds of questions I had. You can NEVER ask too many questions OK. Two of them were my mentors and I received incredible amount of support from them and I am so blessed and thankful for their help.bringiton.gif

OK here is my challenge for you “newbies” Please don’t give another day of your life away being fat and unhealthy. confused.gif Start asking questions. Start the process of educating yourself and maybe set a date to have WLS. I had sleeve weight loss surgery 3 ½ years ago by Dr. Aceves and lost 105 pounds and have kept it off. Nina Dr. Aceves's Patient Coordinator is fabulous and will help you set a date and answer so many of your questions about the cost. I have extreme amount of experience and I am more than willing to answer any and all of your questions. So get off the fence and start asking things that you are curious about.heart.gif

Hugs,

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
