Left side pain....

I went on 8/1 and had a complete unfill because I was suffering from acid reflux terribly an since then I have had a constant pain in my left side under my rib cage. It is like when you run so much that your side hurts. That is how it feels. Anyone else experience anything like this?

Yes, I had that for months after my first band was replaced last year September, it was agony. Mine wasnt constant, but came and went, but it was very painful, I was told it was gas left in my stomach after the op. It wasnt, it took months for it to settle. Are you able to belch, bc in my case it was air that I could not bring up, now that part has settled but the air I swallow now gets trapped in my bowels, causing terrible colic. Since then, only recently it was discovered that my band is not in the right position. Terriffic, I am booked in for this band to be repositioned in October, which seems like a lifetime away for me. If I were you, I'd have it checked out, you should not be having any pain.

I was banded on 7/11 and still have gas. It is unbelievable how much gas I have, and it's uncomfortable. I get so bloated because most of the time I can't pass it. I can occasionally belch and if I lay on my side, it helps also. However, most of the time I'm in public, which makes for a miserable time. Sorry if this is gross. Just wanted to tell my story.

I was having these kinds of pains as well. No reflux tho. My left side, about belly button level, was hurting like a sore muscle and I was feeling a constant pressure under the breastplate, right at the bottom. Oh, and the area around my port was always sore like muscle pain as well.

I told my surgeon about this when I went in for my monthly follow-up appt two weeks ago. He said those were classic symptoms of being over filled so he removed my fill completely. That same day the pains were gone. I felt a twinge of the side pain once since then, but that was it.

He wants to slowly re-introduce a fill, but honestly I think I'm going to hold off on that. I'm not sure if it's swelling or what, but I have plenty of restriction as I am now.
