Did I do something to my port???

Yesterday I was helping out at my son's dance studio. Since they give him a full scholarship I feel like I should help out from time to time. Anyway, I was lifting boxes that maybe weighed 20-30lbs each from the studio director's car. I felt ok until after I was sitting for awhile later in the day and I stood up I had some port pain for about 10 minutes.;) It's been tender since but not really too painful. It's been almost 5-weeks for me...is it too soon to be lifting?:rolleyes

I was told to wait 6 weeks before lifting anything.

You probably pulled on the muscles your port is settled in, which also strained the stitches. You are probably fine, but you might consider taking it easy for an extra couple weeks.
