Issues With Gas After Surgery

is there an issue with gas after surgery and I'm not talking about right after surgery but later on? My daughter had RNY 6 years ago and still has a lot of gas (Burping) and I was wondering if that gas problem holds true for the vertical sleeve.thanks for all your responses.

    I haven't felt alot of gas, but I do feel when the sleeve is full and it feels like $h*!
