For The Equestrians....

I know there were a number of folks who posted in their top ten lists that they wanted to ride horses again....

I started riding again over the summer. I'm still losing and was careful to select a mount that could handle my weight (almost 140lbs gone but still 'heavy' for a rider.)

Getting back into it has not been easy... while there are some elements that are like riding a bike my strength and muscles have a long way to go. If you are thinking about riding and want to get back out there... well... DO IT! Its amazing and very fun and so very rewarding.

Yehaw! Ride 'em cowgirl!

I've been riding 4 times this summer. Would of been 5 but the last time out the horse sidled to the left towards me and I over compensated and laid over the saddle a bit too fast and caught the saddle horn right up under my left rib cage - ouch! I was sore for 3 weeks and could not exercise let alone ride. If we get some more fair weather I may just mount up again this year.
