stitches break lose

Has anyone ever experienced the stitches tearing lose from the inside of the stomache? It feels very strange when it happens. what was your experience?

Oh gosh, do you mean your port, or your sutures to close your skin or do you mean the stitches taken in the "pars flaccida" technique where the stomach is sewn back over the band?

I can't imagine the last one would be any good at all!

Please clarify. I'm a little dense on these things.

I'm not sure because when I went to the Doc he didn't seem concerned so we did not take any xrays. He looked at the port and saw it was a little red and swollen and said sometimes those stitches pop out, but that seemed weird to me. This is why I'm asking you guys, I know someone has had this same problem and would like to know what thier doctor did. I had surgery on June 7th 2006
