Hi, everyone, I was finally banded on july 17th. i must say that i didn't expect to be in as much pain as I am. When I sip on liquids, I start to get sharp pains in my chest and shoulder. I have no idea why, but its making me worried. I hope it goes away. Has anyone else had this problem right after banding?

I think that the pain that you are having is either gas (walk more) or is from the port incision. It will pass. Take small sips when you drink and you might want to try the gas-x strips.

Yes, the pain you're feeling could quite possibly be gas pains. Walk, walk, walk and drink your Water...little sips...it will be okay.
