Post-op Liquids vs. Protein

Today is my fifth day since surgery and I'm confused about the water/protein requirements.

Does the Water in my Protein shakes count towards my 64oz water goal?

Do I have to wait 30 minutes after the Protein Shakes to drink water since they are both liquids?

Does anyone know of a truly unflavored Protein powder I can mix with broths and Soups so I can get as much as possible?

Do I have to wait 30 minutes before and after broth to drink water?

I'd call and ask my dr. but it's Sunday so they are not open.

Tks

Yes the liquid in your protein shakes counts toward your liquid intake. Truly unflavored protein? Maybe someone else can help you there. I haven't found one but then I have tried a lot of unflavored ones either.

Benefiber seems to be unflavored. They put it in my broths and crystal light while in the hospital. It didn't change the flavor at all.

Also, I drink my protein shake in the morning with my water because lots of times I'm trying to get my morning pills down at the same time. You don't have to wait 30 minutes to drink water after a protein shake, that's only after actual food.

Oops! That should have read BENEPROTEIN powder is unflavored.
