Self pay in Boston?

Any idea on self pay costs in Boston? I've been accepted for RNY at Mass General, but would prefer the sleeve. Insurance is Harvard Pilgrim and they say they don't cover the sleeve.

HI! I am usually on OH and there is a poster (jlthomp, I believe) on the Boston board who will be self paying for VSG in Boston. I *think* he said it was about 11K but don't quote me on that! Did HP give you a reason as to why they would'nt cover the Sleeve? My ins co didn't cover it either and I appealed their decision and won. Have you tried that?

Hey guys, yes I am self pay for the sleeve. But I am traveling for it. I am going to NC and because I am a lower BMI the cost is $10k. I am taking the Blis care (big for me) and with all the extras I'm just over $12k. Anywhere in New England for self pay is so expensive. Plus, I am finding out the sleeve it really not popular in this area like it is elsewhere. Any questions just ask.
