My doctors office was waiting on my primary doctor to fax them the needed information so I politely called my PCP and spoke with the receptionist and she said she would fax it over now. My job schedule requires a 6 week advance notice. I already put in for feb 1 thru 10th on good faith. Prayerfully next week I will hear something so that I can at least have it before I have to wait until the next schedule is put out.... I understand that the office staff have a load of cases to do but at the same time I do not want my caseworker to stop the ball from rolling. Patience is truly a virtue. Stay positive. My surgeon's office submitted my paperwork to Aetna on the 18th or 19th of January and I was approved today.

My doctor office submitted late on a Tuesday afternoon. I called Aetna on Wednesday morning and confirmed they had the paperwork and they were fowarding to medical review. My doctor's office called that afternoon at 2 pm and I was approved. Granted not all Aetna offices work the same but hopefully it will go quickly for you.

I called aetna wednesday and they told me to call back friday . I called back Friday and they said that they needed more information from my doctor's office. It has been so long for me and this weight battle. I just pray that the insurance company understands and has some empathy... I know that they say out of every bad there is something good.. I am glad that they didn't just say no instead they requested more information. I am praying and having good faith. I am going to call my case worker tomorrow and see what she says..
