New Post op

HELLO TO ALL: I am so excited to find support with a group that is undergoing the changes and challenges that I am. My surgery was 1/14/11. I am struggling with protien... I am fine with liquids such as G2 or flavored water but, other than eggs, the pureed foods I am trying to eat cause significant GERD/heartburn despite PPI's taken religously. Any suggestions? Carnation instant breakfast sugar free was ok.. however am wondering if I am sensitive to Lactose. Regards and thanks

You're really early out, so concentrate on liquids for now and don't stress about protein too much just yet. When you're on mushies you can try yogurt. People generally tolerate better fermented milk products even if they have problems with milk.
