I went to the local Y and joined a zumba class, am wondering if anyone has bought the zumba dvd's they advertise on tv? If so, how do you like them?

I can't Zumba anymore  It hurts my back, neck and knees. I was in pain for weeks even after I stopped doing it.

My friend got a stress fracture in her leg, and I have another friend who broke a bone in her foot doing Zumba.

All I can say is be careful!

They have Zumba gold which is no jumping and slower, but it's not nearly as much fun for me.

LOVE Zumba!! Go 2-3 times per week and burn 900 - 1200 calories each session (according to my cardio watch and the instructor's). Right now it's my favorite form of exercise! I have tried the DVD's and did not enjoy them near as much as the actual class.... I think the class routines are easier to learn therefore you can exert more energy doing the moves.... And everything is always more fun with lots of friends!
