Okay, if you are getting stuck alot and PBing (throwing back up the food that gets stuck) then you definately do not need another fill. You may, in fact, need a very small unfill. 1.5cc in a 4cc band is a respectable fill level, but you can't really go by the number since everyone is different. 1cc for you may give the same restriction 2cc gives me.

Perhaps you need to adjust your eating habits? Are you "chewing to goo" your food before swallowing? Are you full on 2-3, maybe 3-4 ounces of hard protien, and a cup of veggies? Are you drinking with meals? What kind of foods are you eating and how much? How often? I could give you a better answer with a bit more info.

Check out the fills forum here in LBT. There's a thread at the top of that list with info on fills, plus a link to a great webpage with a "do I need a fill?" checklist. That may give you some good ideas about ways to change your eating to make the most of your band. Holler if you need help finding it.

Congrats on the 34 pounds! Here's to many more!

Thanks so much for your response, I honestly do not chew to goo like you state you should. Sometimes even soup hurts going down. I do not ever eat breas , any pasta I make sure I put enough sauce to make it really wet. I just do not get that full feeling at 4oz that they say a good fill brings. With my doctor even though insurance covered it all I had to pay $3,700.00 out of pocket for meetings , support groups and unlimited fills and adjustments for 1 yr. I do want my moneys worth, and I do want the restriction. Thanks:phanvan

Sweetie, the band isn't about "restriction" it is about losing weight. And you are definately restricted, if you are having that much trouble.

What are you expecting restriction to feel like? Perhaps that will help us guide you better, knowing what your expectations are. And like Kathy says, you really can't go by the number. I'm sitting at 1.25cc and I need an unfill.

Please be kind to yourself

any Pasta I make sure I put enough sauce to make it really wet. :phanvan

Pasta can be a problem. Any food that expands with liquid, pasta, breads, rice, etc can get stuck and cause issues no matter how wet or chewed they are. I would be careful with them.

Congrats on your weight loss!
