down 50lbs. banded on 3-5-04 got fisrt fill 2.1 cc today 4-14-04.

so far so good, my wife is now looking into getting banded......

start 348, 288 now, going down to 240......

I don't want to nitpick, but your math is off. You're down 60 lbs!! Did you do that in only one month?!! Holy moly, Batman, why did you get a fill?

That is sooooo awesome David!! Keep up the great work, you have gotten one heck of a start.

opps down to 298.. only 50lbs, but boy am I happy. I got the fill because I started to add weight this past week... I was eating and eating. Just had dinner was hoping for more restriction was able to eat one and a half bowls of Soup with no problems and still felt like I could eat more. far less food than before the banding!!!

P.S. I follow the doc's orders to the "t". I figure he knows more than I do and he's a bandster......

Oh, I must admit I'm jealous on several levels!

First, though, congratulations! Wow, 50 lbs!

Your doctor is banded? That must be the best-case scenario. I constantly feel like I am educating my doctor's office staff about what I am going through with the band, and trying to get them to understand the struggles to lose weight without restriction.

Also, I have to wait and wait for my first fill because my doctor is so busy. I'm scheduled for May 6. That's 10 weeks post-op for me. I'm down 18.4 (to be exact!), but I had lost 18 within the first four weeks.

Now I'm eating and eating. It is so discouraging.

Let us know how you do with the fill. My sister and I were banded on the same day. She had a fill last week of 1.7cc. and so far feels no restriction. So, she is feeling discouraged.

Again, congratulations. I'm hoping to be down 50 in six months.

Oh, you men! You always lose weight faster than we do!!!!!!

My Dr. is Dr. Grossbard in Dade City, Florida... Yes he has been banded.. He will be the main spoke person for the up coming ads for lapband on tv.....

DK, Dr. Grossbard banded me and my wife (back to back) on March 30 2004. She is down 22 and I'm down 25. Both waiting for first fills. Thank god for blenders.
